A meeting between Sergii Chernov, the Head of Kharkiv Council, Mylkhailo Dobkin, the Head of the Regional State Administration, and representatives of European Business Association headed by its Executive Director Hanna Derevianko took place at the official delegations conference hall of the Council Center today.

The meeting’s agenda included current business environment in Kharkiv region and its improvement strategies.

Thus, the representatives of European companies were informed that Kharkiv Region occupied 2nd place in the Ukrainian “Business Support” 2011 rating.

At the beginning of the current year, 80 small enterprises per 10 thousand of population have been active in the Region. Taking into account this rate, Kharkiv Region is the 3rd among the regions of Ukraine.

Establishment of the Unified Allowance Center became another important achievement of the last year as it is deemed “a unified window” harmonizing functions of all allowance bodies under the organizational unity principal, and businessmen therefore are supplied with a wide range of services for setting up and conducting of entrepreneurial activity. Allowance Centers efficiently function in each Region and town of Region importance.

From her side, Hanna Derevianko marked positive tendency of business climate improvement in Kharkov region and in behalf with all the present expressed her interest to further acceleration and simplification of allowance procedures.
The parties agreed to periodical round-table meetings to discuss particular situations that need solution of assistance of the Region authorities.
