Today in Kyiv under the chairmanship of Adviser of the President of Ukraine - Head of the Department for Constitutional and legal modernization  of President’s of Ukraine Administration Maryna Stavniychuk the first meeting of the Coordination Council for civil society development  is holding. The Head of Kharkiv Regional Council, President of Ukrainian Association of district and regional councils -Sergey Chernov is taking part in the meeting and is included into the Coordinating Council by the President of Ukraine.

Participants of the meeting will consider a strategies draft of state policy for promoting civil society in Ukraine and a plan of priority measures for its implementation, prepared on the basis of the comprehensive analysis of civil society. Including the existing democratic practices, legal support of community organizations to identify tools for civil society to influence public policy

Expected outcomes of the Strategy:
- Creating favorable legal and administrative conditions of society’s self-organization to solve social and economic problems;
- Considerating the needs and interests of different social groups in the preparation and implementation of public law-making;
- Improving the quality and targeting of social services through the involvement of civil society’s organizations in it’s providing;
- Increasing transparency and openness of executive power through increased public control over their activities.
