Sergii Chernov, Chairman of Kharkiv Regional Council, expressed his opinion on usage of the regional potential, in particular, industrial and intellectual one, aimed at seeking ways to competitive recovery of Ukraine, during the round-table meting devoted to integration of production and science as a basis of stable development of the economy.

The event took place at the Library and Learning Center of Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University with the participation of Dmytro Razumkov, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, people’s deputies, directors of manufacturing plants and scientific establishments of Kharkiv region.

Sergii Chernov stated that Kharkiv region is the very region of Ukraine with the best basis for ensuring innovative development and it has got enterprises which practically implement advanced technologies.

“The inventions of the NASU Institute of Electrodynamics enabled to organize production of environmentally safe high-voltage cabling and wiring products of international standard which is successfully used in our country and exported to neighboring countries and beyond;

According to the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, more than 150 agricultural companies in Kharkiv region transfer innovative technologies to their business activities;

Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology developed nanotechnology for applying superhard coatings on plungers of fuel injection equipment for aircrafts and Kharkiv Machine-Building Plant “FED” implemented it,” – such examples were given by the Chairman of Regional Council.

Meanwhile, Sergii Chernov noted that practical efforts focused on innovative development of the region and the state are taking place against the background of growing world competition to get high quality employees, which undoubtedly leads to a significant flow of talents. And a separate region alone cannot resist this phenomenon - a purposeful state policy is required in such case.

“In 2020 the term for implementation of recommendations “Strategy of innovative development of Ukraine for 2010-2020 in the context of globalization challenges” is expiring. Therefore, I consider it expedient for the Verkhovna Rada of the ninth convocation to hold parliamentary hearings on the innovative development of Ukraine in the next decade and identify ways of increasing competitiveness of our country in the era of the knowledge-driven economy.

Kharkiv region is ready to become a discussion and powerful platform for preparation of systematic and effective legislative initiatives”, - stated Sergii Chernov, Chairman of Kharkiv Regional Council.

Before the beginning of the round-table meting Vasyl Tatsii, Head of the University, showed Dmytro Razumkov the premises of the library center equipped under the most advanced technologies which is visited by more than 13 thousand library readers with the book stock of more than 1,430,000 books on legal science and cognate disciplines being taught at the University.
