Today the Chairman of Kharkiv Regional Council Artur Tovmasian visited Kharkiv district on a working trip. During the visit he had a look at the progress of repair works on the roads.

The repair works of Kharkiv-Lyptsi-Borysivka highway is in full swing. Road workers perform works on milling of asphalt and concrete covering, on replacement of the basis, strengthening of roadsides. Also, 11 new bus pavilions will be built and road markings will be applied.

“General length of the road is 35 kilometers. Taking into account road section of 5.8 kilometers, which is planned to be repaired by the end of April, and road section, which was repaired last year, 17 kilometers of highway will be repaired overall. Works will continue next year as well. Thus, with time we will repair all highway,” Artur Tovmasian said.

According to the Chairman of Kharkiv Regional Council, repair works of the road through the dam in the village of Hlyboke will start in June. Moreover, new fence will be put up, surrounding area will be cleaned up.

“Locals constantly complain to me about the emergency condition of the road. We have found the solution to this problem. The repair works start in summer. I hope the works will be done quickly and at high quality standards,” Artur Tovmasian noted.

This year the road in the Vilkhivka community will be overhauled, which will take 200 million hryvnias of the state funds. The works will also be carried out at the entrance to the village of Berezivka, the Chairman of the Regional Council said.

During a visit to Kharkiv district, at the request of the locals, Artur Tovmasian came to see the condition of Zarichna street in Lyptsi. People have repeatedly turned to him for help in repairs. The road is constantly in the water, because it is located in the lowlands. After the rain, it is impossible to walk or drive through it.

“Together with the specialists we have made a decision to install a drain to direct the flow in the other direction, away from houses. This is something that can be done in the near future and make people's lives easier. After that we will be looking for an opportunity to resolve the issue of repairing the street",- Artur Tovmasian said.
